Three Decades of the Verbatim Record
Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Jennifer Patterson, owner of Cape Fear Court Reporting. I purchased the firm in June 1992 and have proudly served southeastern North Carolina ever since.
Over the years, I've built a team of highly qualified reporters throughout North Carolina who share my commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and exceptional client service. I am a nationally certified voicewriter (CVR-M), and our team includes both stenographic and voicewriting reporters. I am also an NC Administrative Office of the Courts-approved transcriptionist, a member of the National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA), and a past president and current member of the North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association (NCVRA).
My background in marketing management has shaped a strong client-service mindset and a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail in every assignment.
Cape Fear Court Reporting is locally owned and fully independent. We do not contract with insurance carriers, allowing us to maintain the neutrality and independence our clients expect.

National certification through the National Verbatim Reporters Association, requiring rigorous speed and accuracy testing plus continuing education.
NC AOC-Approved Transcriptionist
Listed on the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts roster of approved court reporters and transcriptionists — including transcripts prepared for appeal.

Member in good standing of the National Verbatim Reporters Association.
